Gym Guidelines

The purpose of our gymnasium is to use it as a tool for Christian fellowship that provides a welcoming environment to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Bethany Bible Chapel Gym Use Guidelines

You must be at least 16 years of age to make a reservation for the gym. If you are under the age of 18, there must be 2 BBC members present. A BBC member must be present at all times.

Proper Attire Please do not wear black-soled shoes that are not meant for court shoes during any type of athletic activity. Also, make sure your shoes are clean and are not marking up the gym floor. In the winter you will need to change shoes upon arrival. All dress should be appropriate for the activity and not offensive to Christian values. Shirts are required at all times. There is to be no use of alcohol or tobacco on the property at any time. Improper language will not be tolerated. This includes any music brought into the facility.

Proper Use of the facility There is to be no hanging on the net or rim at anytime. Any damage done to the facility caused by improper use may be the responsibility of the individual or group involved. Each incident will be reviewed separately. Please put all equipment back in the equipment room when you are finished. This room is to remain locked when not in use.

Clean up procedure The entire gym floor is to be swept after each use. Dust mops are located in the equipment room in the gym. Please empty all trashcans. Make sure that the bathroom is as clean as it was when you arrived. Remember to turn off the lights when you leave. Lastly, make sure that all doors are locked. It is the responsibility of the person that requested the use of the facility to make sure that procedure is followed.

Priority of use

1. Official church functions

2. Church sponsored activities such as AWANA

3. Member coordinated activities.

Note to Parents: Children are going to want to be in the gym before, between, and after services. Please make sure they are leaving it as they found it!
